Kansas City

A curated workspace community in a historic
Kansas City landmark.

The future is built by
people who build together.

A curated community of change agents on the 7th floor of a historic Kansas City landmark. Housing advocates beside architects. Climate organizers next to developers. Under one roof of exposed timber and original brick, doing work that matters.

Discover the Community

Not a coworking space.
A community of practice.

Remote work solved the commute. But it left something behind: the hallway conversations that become referrals, the coffee-line introductions that become partnerships, the proximity to people doing adjacent, important work.

The Poindexter is an intentionally curated ecosystem of professionals and organizations united by a shared commitment to improving quality of life for people and the planet. Housing advocates work alongside architects. Climate policy organizers share a floor with health care leaders and sustainable developers. The result is a living network of cross-pollination that cannot be replicated on Zoom.

We believe the built environment shapes community, and the people shaping the built environment should be in community with each other. This 7th-floor space, with its exposed timber ceilings and original brick walls, is where that belief becomes practice.

Not everyone is a fit, and that is the point. This is a curated community that grows stronger with every organization that joins.

The Poindexter Data Center

Your team on the 7th floor. Your infrastructure on the ground floor. Your data never leaves the building.

The Poindexter Data Center is 20,000 square feet of climate-controlled, physically secure infrastructure designed for organizations that need to own and control their compute. This is not another cloud provider. This is sovereign, on-premises hardware in a building full of people working on the same challenges you are.

For firms doing climate modeling, health data analytics, AI research, architectural computation, and design rendering, the advantage of physical proximity is real: direct access to your hardware, complete data sovereignty, and a community of peers one elevator ride away.

Data Sovereignty

Client-owned hardware under your physical control. No third-party access.

Proximity

Your team upstairs, your models training downstairs, all in one building.

Climate Controlled

20,000 SF purpose-built facility with dedicated cooling and power infrastructure.

Mission Aligned

Serving organizations whose compute serves communities: climate, health, housing, design.

When the Kansas City Club closed in 2015, it left a void in downtown's social fabric. No modern replacement has emerged. Until now.

The Poindexter Social Club is a 20,000-square-foot hybrid fitness-wellness-social-coworking concept occupying the building's first floor. It is designed as the "after 5 PM" extension of the coworking community on the 7th floor, the place where work relationships become real relationships.

But it is also much more than a perk for coworking members. The Social Club is open to the broader downtown community, with a tiered membership structure designed for genuine mixed-income participation. Higher tiers explicitly subsidize community access, because the strength of a club is measured by the diversity of its members.

All 7th floor coworking members receive Social Club access as part of their membership.

When your mission outgrows a desk,
there’s a building for that.

The Centennial Building is the next chapter in the ADG portfolio — a historic downtown Kansas City tower adjacent to the Savoy Hotel. Conference and event space for the gatherings that move missions forward. Full-floor office space for organizations whose work demands more than a coworking membership.

Where your community gathers.

Board meetings that shape policy. Health trainings that save lives. Corporate retreats that build teams. Celebrations that bring communities together.

The Centennial Conference & Event Center is 13,700 square feet of purpose-built gathering space — a 250-person divisible lecture hall, a corporate boardroom, a 12-desk computer training lab, creative collaboration rooms, a warming kitchen, and a reception lobby. Full AV infrastructure in every room.

And the Savoy Hotel is right next door. It is the only downtown KC event venue where your out-of-town board members can walk from their hotel room to the conference table. Co-branded packages — “Board Meeting in a Box,” “Corporate Retreat Package” — make it effortless.

250-Person Lecture Hall

Divisible into two 125-person spaces. Theater-style seating, full AV and presentation tech.

Corporate Boardroom

16–20 person boardroom with video conferencing, projector, and lectern.

12-Desk Training Lab

Fixed workstations with monitor arms. Built for professional development and certification.

Creative Collaboration

Writable walls, flexible furniture, and collaboration tech for brainstorming sessions.

Savoy Hotel Next Door

The only downtown KC event center with an adjacent hotel. Rooms, meeting space, and dining.

From coworking community to your own headquarters.

For organizations whose work has grown beyond a coworking membership — healthcare systems, regional nonprofits, mission-driven institutions — the Centennial Building offers turn-key office space at rates that keep resources focused on mission, not rent.

Full floors from 27,000 to 40,000 square feet on floors 5 through 8. A brand-new HVAC system. Fully furnished, move-in ready options. And $23.00 per square foot gross — well below downtown Kansas City’s Class A asking rents of $28–35/SF.

The real advantage is the ecosystem. Your headquarters in The Centennial. Your satellite team at The Poindexter coworking floor. Your board meetings in the conference center. Your staff wellness at the Social Club. One partnership, two buildings, every resource your organization needs.
